Building a driveway to highway specs -- lime-treated subgrade, flex base, and asphalt, layer by layer.

Our clay-rich soil caused the driveway to warp, crack, and erode over time. Since TxDOT builds roads that last a while, I decided to just build to their engineering spec. It starts with a lime-treated subgrade, then a layer of flex base.
